We’re proud to announce that Milestone has become one of a growing number of companies in the UK to become an Employee Ownership Trust, similar to the John Lewis Partnership.
It’s an exciting time for Milestone, and this makes us even more special as a creative partner to our clients and as a place to work for our employees. The plan is to protect and encourage Milestone’s culture and success for years to come.
EOTs were introduced by the Government in 2014 to encourage the success and longevity of small and medium-sized businesses in the UK. We’ve joined a group of over 1,400 businesses who have achieved EOT status including Aardman Animations, Richer Sounds and Riverford Organic.
Around half of these have become EOTs in the last few years, so it’s a growing trend.
We’ve always been like a family business at Milestone. It wouldn’t be right to sell it to another company. It’s much more Milestone to give our team more responsibility.
This gives us the chance to carry on working for the clients we love, while giving our team more power to steer our future.
A shared sense of ownership has always been a core part of our culture and key reason for our success. Now it’s for real. Long may Milestone continue!
