Brand Consequences
Last year we created a one-hour group session to build skills and confidence in understanding how brands work.
The group describes six fictional brand names with the first words that come to mind. A simple story for each brand builds, as it does in the game of Consequences. Through the process, the group defines the Market Category, Customer Value Proposition, Market Positioning Statement and Personality for each brand.
When all six are completed, the group reads them out and discusses the ones most likely to succeed.
After our first two sessions, it was fascinating to see how easily people could define brands without any personal pressure or unnecessary jargon.
We then asked our studio to bring a few to life with a simple logo treatment.
